Mission Statement
Our mission is to advance quantitative research at the University of Maryland and throughout the broader Maryland community by providing high-quality statistical consulting and training. We support researchers by offering:
- Free 1.5 hour project consulting session for campus students working on research projects
- Paid consulting at an affordable rate for on-campus and sister-campus student and faculty research projects
- Paid consulting on statistical projects for government-agency, nonprofit and commercial clients
- Collaborative consulting toward the writing of research contracts with statistical participation in study design and/or analysis
- Training of Statistical Students in the Practice of Statistical Consulting
- Outreach on campus in the form of tutorial lectures and short-courses on applied statistics
